Miscellaneous Consular Services

General Information

Embassy of India, Vientiane has started rendering Miscellaneous Consular Services (Attestation, Power of Attorney, Life Certificate, NRI Certificate, Relationship Certificate, Birth Certificate, Registration of Child Birth, Registration of Death, etc) through the SEWA Portal (https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/ ) with effect from         21 July 2026.

  1. Please visit the website (https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/ ) for availing of various Miscellaneous Consular Services through Online Consular Services System (SEWA Portal).

  2. Sign up and create your account using the above web-link. Activate your account using OTP received on your registered email ID. Once your account is activated, please login to your account and apply for the required miscellaneous consular service. Users can avail of multiple services with the same account. While applying for required service, the specific list of required documents (self-attested copy to be uploaded) is also provided with each service. Miscellaneous Service Form (click here).

  3. On successful submission of the application, a provisional acknowledgement receipt will be generated which the applicant can print after login to his/her account. Applicants are advised to take a printout of a copy of the acknowledgement receipt of the online submitted application for submission to the Embassy.

  4. Once the documents are scrutinized and approved by the Embassy, the applicant will receive a confirmation for payment. It can be seen in the dashboard of his/her account. Applicants having received this confirmation, may visit the Embassy of India, Vientiane on any working day between 0930-1230 hours with original documents and passport, have them verified and proceed to pay the fees.
