Lao Digital Immigration Form (LDIF) to streamline border procedure

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic has announced the implementation of the Lao Digital Immigration Form (LDIF) starting from 1st September 2025. All foreign nationals and stateless persons using a passport are required to register through the LDIF before entering into or departing from Lao PDR. Registration must be completed within 3 days before travel. LDIF will be available at Wattay International Airport, Luangprabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, and Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge I.
From the beginning of 2026, it will be implemented at all international checkpoints.
